Hip Replacement Complete!

Hello All! Everything is all set! Operation is done. I was scheduled to go in at noon but I was wheeled in at 12:45. Not really sure when I Woke up afterwards, I was a little loopy from the anesthesia. I was wheeled up to my room at just after 3:45 and once the vitals were taken and the nurses got me set and I was able to relax a bit. About 45 minutes later the physical therapist came in and asked me how I was doing, walked me through the exercises I had to do and then got me for a walk. I only did a loop of half the floor but that was enough. I was really sore; the nerve block was wearing off. I was put in the lounge chair which was felt great to sit up. I passed a major milestone which was urinating, that is one of the things they want you to do before you go home. Had an excellent dinner which included strawberry shortcake which was delicious! Shift change is happening now and once they’re set with everyone they’ll get me up to walk. Looking forward to stretching my legs and getting off my butt! When I’m done with the loop I’ll be in bed and call it a night. Thank you every one for the emails and comments of support. It was fantastic and made me feal great.
